My dahling truffles, I’d like to introduce you to someone (thing) special…
Meet my favorite tree.
This tree proudly resides in my front yard, next to MY side of the garage.
It’s a huge ginormous tree, too. It’s roots are tearing up the driveway, and the walkway leading to the front door.
My dashing husband hates this tree.
But I do love it so, and I’ll tell you why…
Every year, as winter surrenders itself to the spring season, this tree blossoms into a huge, puffy cloud of little white flowers with teeny tiny petals as seen below in Exhibits A and B.
This gorgeous display will last about 10 days or so.
Then, when the time is right, the petite blossoms will submit themselves to the gentle breeze.
And if you’re lucky enough to see it, the itty bitty white petals float through the breeze, and gently settle to the ground like a snow falling on a warm and sunny day.
So, you see… it does snow in SoCal, as evidenced in Exhibits C and D.
It just usually happens in the spring…
… and requires a slightly smaller shovel.
HAPPY SPRING, DAHLINGS!!
