You know the old saying – You learn something new every day? Well, this week I learned something that completely blew my mind.
Seriously… I’m still in shock.
A certain Canadian friend of mine whose name I’ll not mention, Andrea, has never tasted a Twinkie. Can you imagine such a life as this? I must admit to you that I have very earnestly contemplated moving to Canada. It’s a gorgeous country, and hey, it’s where they filmed Anne of Green Gables. But what deprived country is this that doesn’t offer Twinkies? I’m mean, how are these people supposed to live through the long harsh winters without the warmth and comfort of the Twinkie?
This new-found knowledge that rocked my world compels me to ask this question…
Who else among you has never experienced the joy of eating a tube-shaped sponge cake that feels as though it’s been soaked in a vat of vegetable oil before having a delicate sweet cream filling surgically injected into it’s center?
If YOU have been denied such a pleasure, I beg you, please come forward today. Make yourself known to me. I shall send you a box of these delicious treats that boast a shelf life of approximately 82 years.
My Canadian friend, I am coming to your rescue.
No Twinkies were harmed in the writing of this post.
