Okay, I know I still haven’t posted the next R.A.K. Challenge. I have decided to wait until Monday to post it so I can be back on schedule. It’s coming… I promise!
So, my last Random Act of Kindness didn’t go over quite as planned. You can read all about it in my post titled R.A.K. Update, and you should if you haven’t already. It will make you feel better about yourself. And feel sorry for me. Hee Hee!
I will admit that I was feeling pretty discouraged after the last R.A.K. I was beginning to wonder if it was even worth continuing at all. Don’t worry… I quickly dispelled the notion of quitting.
I will press on for the remained of the year because that is what Jesus would do.
1 Peter 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: KJV
And to further confirm in my heart that I have made the right decision – my daughter came to me this morning and said she wanted to make her brother a cup of chocolate milk as a Random Act of Kindness. Oh, that filled my pea-picking heart with joy!
God reminded me that even if none of the recipients of my Random Acts of Kindness display gratitude, I am still training my children to think of others… even if they have no hope of getting anything in return.
