This week’s challenge was to send a note to someone that lives far away whom I haven’t had contact with in a while.
I chose to write to my grandparents who live several hours north of me. I haven’t seen them in over a year. So I wrote a note letting them know that I love & miss them. I sent current pictures of the family also because grandparents like that sort of thing.
This particular challenge made me realize how little time my grandparents have left on this earth. I have to be honest and say that I’m a very out-of-sight-out-of-mind kind of person, and it shames me. I need to ask the Lord to help me remember those that are not involved in my daily living. I have neglected my responsibilities as a granddaughter and thus forfeited a rewarding relationship with my grandparents.
I am reminded that my relationship with the Lord can become compromised when I do not spend regular time with Him in Bible reading and in prayer. If I desire a close and rewarding relationship with my Heavenly Father, then I MUST spend time getting to know Him daily.
