Granulated Sugar
Is your skin looking a little dull and bitter about life?
Add some granulated sugar to your regular body or face wash just before use.
Sugar makes an excellent exfoliator for the skin.
So, go on! Sweeten that complexion of yours!

Sugar in the Raw
I like to keep a small bag of sugar in the raw handy at all times.
Sugar in the raw is a larger grain of sugar with a brown tint and tastes a lot like rock candy.
Sprinkle a little of this on top of your muffins, dessert breads, breakfast bars, and pastries just before baking.
The sugar will add a sparkling sheen to the top of your baked goods while slightly enhancing the sweetness, too.
Sugar in the raw is also the perfect sweetener for making sweet tea! YUM!

Regular Old Salt
Salt can be used in place of glitter for just about any project.
Yes, it will render a more subtle finish, but costs about 100 times less than glitter.
Plus, you can use different varieties of salt (regular salt, sea salt, kosher salt) for a variety of effects.
This works great for kid’s art projects and paintings!

Is it wrong that reading this made me hungry? LOL
I’ll have to try the raw sugar sometime! Sounds tasty!
Oh how clever! I had never thought to use salt for glitter! Also, my face scrub just finished and I forgot to get more, your sugar tip is well timed. Thank you!
Great ideas! Thanks – salt for glitter, who would have thought?
I’m with the others- all these great tips and the thing I can’t get past is how clever it is to use salt for glitter! (btw, I love your blog, glad I came by!)
Salt as glitter is a cool idea. I’ll have to remember that. And I never even thought about adding sugar to my face and body wash. This dispite having bought exfoliating sugar products before. Great tips.
These are awesome tips, Christy!
Great tips! I love the idea of adding sugar to the body wash. I am going to try that!

My sister uses sugar to make this incredible lavender body scrub (she gives
